I am pleased to inform you that “Partners in Building a Stronger Montana: 2016 State-Tribal Relations Report” is now available online at http://tribalnations.mt.gov/Portals/34/TribalAffairs_AR_2016_WEB.pdf.
The Report begins with an overview of landmark legislation and innovations that have been implemented since the beginning of the Bullock Administration, followed by an outline of the major innovations and accomplishments that have been implemented in partnership with Montana’s eight tribal governments in state fiscal year 2016. The report also includes an outline of the Governor’s tribal appointments on state boards, a comprehensive list of state-tribal agreements, and useful contact information for key state government officials.
The Governor’s Office would like to express sincere appreciation for your support and all who have contributed materials and resources for this project. We especially commend the team of narrative coordinators for dedicating their time toward compiling and organizing the report materials of their respective state agency. In addition, we are grateful for the hard work of the designated state agencies’ data entry staff for the State Tribal Activities Database (STAD), which provides the state-tribal agreements list that completes the annual report.
We hope that you will find the report to be an informative and useful resource.
