FEMA Announces Notice of Funding Opportunity for Fiscal Year 2018
Homeland Security National Training Program Continuing Training Grants

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today the release of the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Fiscal Year 2018 Homeland Security National Training Program/Continuing Training Grants (HSNTP/CTG).
The grant program develops and delivers innovative training programs that are national in scope and play an important role in the implementation of the National Preparedness System by supporting the building, sustainment, and delivery of core capabilities essential to achieving the National Preparedness Goal of a secure and resilient nation.
The HSNTP/CTG will provide $8 million to qualified applicants who can help improve the nation’s ability to respond to and recover from all-hazards events.
The HSNTP/CTG Program is administered by FEMA’s National Training and Education Division. FEMA will continue to prioritize funding for Tribal and Rural Preparedness training programs and may make awards in all or some of the other identified focus areas below contingent upon the evaluation of proposals received.
- Housing;
- Cybersecurity;
- Economic Recovery;
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management; and
- Tribal and Rural Preparedness
This highly competitive program attracts applicants from state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, along with eligible non-profit organizations to include colleges and universities. In FY 2017, 25 eligible applicants competed and FEMA made four awards. There is no pre-determined number of awards.
Funding is provided as cooperative agreements and awarded directly to the selected applicants. Final awards will be announced by September 30, 2018.

FY 2018 CTG grant applications are due no later than August 24, 2018. Submissions must be made through Grants.gov.
FEMA will announce award recipients following the application period and awards determination. Final awards will be publicly announced no later than September 30, 2018.
