IHS Seeking Feedback on New National Accountability Dashboard for Quality
IHS is asking Tribal leaders, partner organizations, and the general public to provide feedback on a new online dashboard measuring quality of service at IHS facilities. The dashboard has been updated with data from the last three months of 2017. The project’s stated goal is to “enable the IHS to report on key performance data in a succinct and easily viewed display to monitor and improve quality of care.”
The dashboard currently tracks issued related to quality of care, including safety reporting, emergency preparedness, opioid policy, patient-centered medical home programs, and other factors. The dashboard came about as part of the development of IHS’s 2016-2017 Quality Framework, to support the agency’s oversight and quality management functions.
