Funding for VAWA Special Domestic Violence Criminal Jurisdiction Implementation (SDVCJ)
The Department of Justice has funding available to support tribes in their efforts to implement criminal jurisdiction over non-Indians pursuant to VAWA 2013. The deadline for funding is June 7, 2018. For more information, the grant solicitation is available here. Pre-Application Information Session, Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 1:00 p.m. EST. Office on Violence Against Woman (OVW) will conduct a pre-application information session for entities interested in submitting an application for the Tribal Jurisdiction Program. During the session, OVW staff will review the Tribal Jurisdiction Program requirements, review the solicitation, and allow for a brief question and answer period. Broadband Infrastructure Grants Available through USDA Community Connect
USDA Rural Development (RD) is accepting grant applications for the Community Connect program that funds broadband infrastructure projects in unserved rural communities. Awards range from $100,000 to $3 million. Federally recognized tribes, non-profits, and for-profit corporations are eligible to apply. To view USDA’s press release click here.
