The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and Denver Public Health announces a Community Leadership Training. The training is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities of participants to raise awareness and provide leadership for Tribal communities on alcohol screening and brief intervention (aSBI) and Project CHOICES, a brief counseling intervention program aimed at reducing the risk of an alcohol-exposed pregnancy.
The purpose of the leadership training is to support participants’ ability to develop community strategies to:
- Implement aSBI/CHOICES
- reduce risky drinking and associate alcohol-related harms
- Reduce the risk of alcohol-exposed pregnancies
- Introduce an implementation guide designed specifically for Tribal communities
